The Prix Galien, awarded for over 50 years, is the equivalent of the Nobel Prize for pharmaceutical Innovation. Since 2009, the Galien Foundation has organized a Scientific Forum in the United States alongside the Prix Galien International. The first edition of the Galien Forum Africa (GFA) took place in December 2018 in Dakar, Senegal.

In 2026, for the eighth consecutive time, the Galien Africa Forum will be held on Senegalese land, from December 8 to 11, 2026. Dakar will once again become the African capital of health, innovation and leadership for women and young people.

The general theme for this year is: “Mental Health in Africa: Equity and Integration into Primary Health Care – Where Do We Stand?”

It will also be the occasion to award the Prix Galien Africa for the sixth time.
