The Prix Galien, awarded for over 50 years, is the equivalent of the Nobel Prize for pharmaceutical Innovation. Since 2009, the Galien Foundation has organized a Scientific Forum in the United States alongside the Prix Galien International. The first edition of the Galien Forum Africa (GFA) took place in December 2018 in Dakar, Senegal.

In 2025, for the eighth consecutive time, the Galien Africa Forum will be held on Senegalese land, from October 28 to 31, 2025. Dakar will once again become the African capital of health, innovation and leadership for women and young people.

The general theme for this year is: “Health Sovereignty: An Imperative for Africa.” It will also be the occasion to award the Galien Africa Prize for the fourth time.
